On Tuesday, July 29, the commemorative symposium celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Waseda Society of Political Science and Economics was held at the Waseda University International Conference Center, with approximately 100 participants attending in person and online.
First, Professor Masato Shizume, President of the Waseda Society of Political Science and Economics, delivered the opening remarks via video message.
Next, Professor Masazumi Wakatabe, Dean of the Graduate School of Economics at Waseda University, delivered a speech commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Society.
After that, we had lectures from three graduates (past winners of the Essay contest) who are active in various fields of industry, government, and academia.

Following the symposium in Part 1, a reception was held in Part 2, moderated by Associate Professor Yuriko Takahashi (Chair of the General Affairs Committee of the Society). The participating students engaged in lively conversation with the three guest speakers, faculty members, and fellow students, deepening their exchanges.
